The Tormented Soul

Aleera's POV

For the first time in a long time I was able to sleep without any nightmares. You can just guess how nice it was, I had nothing to worry about.

I felt something move over my right cheek. What was this strange and unfamiliar feeling that this touch left me with? Why does it feel like my guts are filled with butterflies and electricity that travels over my body?

Then the feeling was gone. It was probably nothing, so I didn't think much about it and I tried to get back to sleep. I needed rest to get my strength back. Wait, that unfamiliar feeling is back. I felt something move over my cheek again and this time I opened my eyes to see Darius brushing his hand over my cheek. I moved back with fear all over my face.

"Sorry if I woke you up." He said in a calm voice.

"You had something on your cheek so I removed it for you." He answered me.

I was confused and I guess my facial expression showed it. "W..ha..t did I ha..ve?" I stuttered.
