Chapter 93

“Hello. Camila didn’t know who was on the other end of the line but greeted politely anyway.

‘Camila, it’s me, Rita.” The voice laughed over the phone. “I just realized I didn’t have your number, so I asked Connor for it since you were together. Let’s go shopping tomorrow!”

“I’m on a business trip with Mr. Connor in Oakville. Tomorrow…” Camila glanced up at Connor.

Connor put down the documents he was holding and said, “We still have two meetings tomorrow.”

Rita clearly heard Connor’s response and clicked her tongue. “He really works you hard. He has you traveling on the weekend, too.”

“I’m off to Australia on Sunday to visit my grandparents. I won’t be back for a month,” Rita pouted.

Connor leaned in closer, the space between them so tight that his breath lightly brushed Camila’s cheek. Camila stared at him, unsure if he was reaching for the phone or what.
