Jason leared against the wall, slowly making his way into the emergency room.
A small and delicate figure lay motionless on the operating table, appearing almost lifeless. Only her eyes, hidden behind long lashes, betrayed signs of movement, suggesting she was still clinging to life.
Her face had been wiped clean of the bloodstains, revealing a pale and frail visage. Jason knell on one knee beside the table, his voice lowered as he gently called out. “Eleanor..”
That soft voice managed to pull Eleanor back from the brink of unconsciousness. She struggled to open her weary eye, hoping to catch a glimpse of him one last time, but she couldn’t see anything.

It turned out that same regrets were unbearable, like the pain of needles piercing his heart now
