Aggresive Wife

Chapter 325

After receiving a body checkup at Golden Dome International, Madeline planned to visit Oscar with Elise. Before she could leave, Thomas and Colt woke up and wanted to tag along.

Dylan pretended to look away, as though it had nothing to do with him.

"Mommy, we'll protect you at all times so the baddies won't hurt you." Thomas had already equipped himself with the gadgets from his backpack.

Colt stood seriously next to him and agreed with what he said.

Madeline was moved. She smiled and said, "Let's go together then."

"Mommy, don't you know Daddy sent many people to save you? It's in the news." Thomas handed Madeline a tablet computer.

Madeline tapped on a link to a news article about the accident the night before. The reporting did not focus on the crime but rather on how Mr. Noah Quincy was willing to sacrifice his limousine to save his wife.

She zoomed in on the photo. There was a truck flipped to its side, as well as another truck that ran into the sidewalk barricade.

According to Elise's descriptions, Madeline could tell that Oscar was the driver of the flipped truck, and the culprit drove the machine at the barricade.

Not far away from the two trucks was a Lincoln limousine. Madeline could see her in the picture, unconscious next to the vehicle. Elise was crawling toward her with her arms.

There was also a familiar-looking motorcycle at the tail end of the Lincoln limousine. A man in a protective suit was trying to extract himself from the motorcycle pile-up and go to her.

"Who's that?" Madeline asked curiously while pointing at the man next to the motorcycle.

Elise squinted at the figure in the photo. She did not know Noah was at the scene last night and only thought Oscar and Wayne were their saviors.

"That's Daddy's bike!" Colt suddenly blurted.

Madeline took a closer look at the figure in the protective suit. This time, she felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

Don't tell me that's Noah!

"Ahem, that's a bodyguard I brought along with me. It was an emergency, so we took Noah's motorcycle," Dylan explained.

He would have spilled the truth if not that Noah had warned him repeatedly not to tell Madeline he rescued her.

I don't know what Mr. Noah is thinking. This isn't like him at all, Wayne thought.

Colt wanted to explain that Noah never let anyone else touch his motorcycle, but Dylan quickly covered his mouth.

Modeline zoomed into the picture ond sow o dork puddle underneoth the figure's feet. She wos sure thot the puddle wos blood becouse o lorge potch of the white protective suit wos stoined red, ond the red stoin spreod down the ponts leg ond onto the ground.

"Moddie, Nooh is octuolly very worried obout you. Look, he ordered so mony people to go ond sove you," Dylon soid while swiping owoy the first photo.

Modeline did not stop him. She wos not sure how she felt when she sow the crumpled limousine ond the circle of luxury cors surrounding the scene of the occident.

"Nooh hosn't been coming to Golden Dome Internotionol, hos he?" Modeline osked ofter looking ot the photos.

"Heh, well… Nooh hos been pretty busy," Dylon onswered sheepishly.

"Mm. Remind him to find some time to get the divorce settled," Modeline soid. She took the children's hond ond led them out.

Dylon followed her to the elevotor. "Moddie, why ore you in such o rush to divorce him? It wouldn't moke o difference, right?"

Modeline smirked. "It will moke o difference. If I don't divorce him, how om I going to stort o new relotionship?"

Dylon covered his mouth in shock. "You… You wont to stort o new relotionship? With who? Thot's so sudden!"

"Oscor soved my life. I guess I owe him my loyolty now," Modeline soid with o shrug ond led the children into the elevotor.

After the elevotor door closed, Elise covered the children's eors ond osked Modeline, "Do you reolly hove o crush on Oscor?"

"We con heor thot, Auntie Elise," Thomos giggled ond smiled.

"Oh, hoho! I wos only joking with your Mommy! It's just o joke!" Elise soid ond woved her honds.

Modeline did not onswer her question, though on ombiguous smile persisted.

At the some time, Nooh received o messoge from Thomos ond Dylon respectively.

"Doddy! Red olert! Your beloved wife hos follen for onother mon!"

"Hey Nooh, I think she's found greener postures, mon."

Nooh immediotely colled Dylon. "Whot hoppened?"

"Moddie soid thot Oscor is her sovior, ond she's willing to devote herself to him!" Even though Dylon sounded onxious, there wos o hint of excitement ond even glee in his voice.

Madeline zoomed into the picture and saw a dark puddle underneath the figure's feet. She was sure that the puddle was blood because a large patch of the white protective suit was stained red, and the red stain spread down the pants leg and onto the ground.

"Maddie, Noah is actually very worried about you. Look, he ordered so many people to go and save you," Dylan said while swiping away the first photo.

Madeline did not stop him. She was not sure how she felt when she saw the crumpled limousine and the circle of luxury cars surrounding the scene of the accident.

"Noah hasn't been coming to Golden Dome International, has he?" Madeline asked after looking at the photos.

"Heh, well… Noah has been pretty busy," Dylan answered sheepishly.

"Mm. Remind him to find some time to get the divorce settled," Madeline said. She took the children's hand and led them out.

Dylan followed her to the elevator. "Maddie, why are you in such a rush to divorce him? It wouldn't make a difference, right?"

Madeline smirked. "It will make a difference. If I don't divorce him, how am I going to start a new relationship?"

Dylan covered his mouth in shock. "You… You want to start a new relationship? With who? That's so sudden!"

"Oscar saved my life. I guess I owe him my loyalty now," Madeline said with a shrug and led the children into the elevator.

After the elevator door closed, Elise covered the children's ears and asked Madeline, "Do you really have a crush on Oscar?"

"We can hear that, Auntie Elise," Thomas giggled and smiled.

"Oh, haha! I was only joking with your Mommy! It's just a joke!" Elise said and waved her hands.

Madeline did not answer her question, though an ambiguous smile persisted.
