Chapter 93 – MindNest

Right after the divorce, two things about Seraphine had started circling around in Voren’s mind in a way that refused to quiet down, because no matter how many times he replayed everything he had seen and heard, the pieces never seemed to settle into a picture that made any sense to him at all.

The first thing that had struck him was the realization that Seraphine possessed the kind of cyber intelligence that people spent entire lifetimes chasing and never quite reaching, the type of sharp, intricate brilliance that allowed her to maneuver through digital systems as though they were nothing more than familiar hallways in a house she had lived in for years.

The second thing had followed immediately after that realization, and it had only made everything more confusing because it turned out that she was also a software developer whose work carried a level of sophistication that left experienced engineers speechless.

And yet those two discoveries were only fragments of the bigger puzzle, because Voren had not forgotten the most unbelievable part of it all, which was the fact that Seraphine was also a fully trained medical doctor.

Every time the thought crossed his mind, the same question rose up again with even greater intensity.

How?

Had she learned all of those things while she had been living her life beside Ravyn as his Luna, quietly building an entire world of knowledge behind the scenes while everyone else saw nothing beyond the title she carried?

Or had there always been something more hidden beneath the surface of who she was, something nobody around her had cared enough to uncover until now?

The questions ran into each other inside Voren’s mind, one after another, each one leading into the next without offering any answers, and the constant loop only tightened the restless anxiety coiling in his chest.

"Who exactly are you?" Mark asked from across the room, his voice thick with genuine astonishment as his eyes stayed fixed on the massive projection unfolding in front of them.

The holographic display floated in the center of the space like something pulled straight out of a futuristic dream, layers of glowing information hovering in midair as Seraphine guided it with effortless confidence.

Ravyn stood a short distance away, looking so stunned that it almost seemed like he had just watched a ghost walk into the room.
