Chapter 363: They never deserved you

A glass of water Voren had been holding for Seraphine shattered in his grip mid-story. The sharp crack ripped through the quiet cabin like a gunshot.

Water splashed everywhere across the floor while glass shards scattered around his feet.

His jaw locked tight, every muscle in his body going rigid as a deep, terrifying growl rumbled up from his chest. It grew louder and fiercer with each passing second.

His eyes darkened to something dangerous and feral. Bloodfang was fighting hard to take control. It was as if Noelle and Daisy were right in front of them to be torn into pieces.

"They did all that to you?" His voice came out rough and raw, barely human.

The pure fury etched across his face made Seraphine’s heart twist painfully. That anger wasn’t aimed at her, but it was all for her, burning hot on her behalf.

Before she could even respond, Voren shoved to his feet. The cabin suddenly felt way too small to hold the storm raging inside him.

He stalked toward the door and stepped outside, the cool air rushing over him, but it did almost nothing to tame the fury boiling in his veins. His hands clenched into white-knuckled fists, veins bulging along his powerful arms.

For years he’d suspected Seraphine’s childhood had been rough the moment he found out about her giving Daisy her blood, but hearing the brutal truth hit like a wrecking ball.
