Chapter 440: They don’t deserve anything quick and easy

Curiosity sparkled bright in Seraphine’s eyes as she stared straight into his, completely captivated. "And what exactly is your way of handling stuff like this?" she asked, a faint little smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

The Voren sitting beside her now felt so different from the boy she’d known growing up.

Back then he’d been this quiet, protective, and playful with her. But after she lost her memories and became Luna of the Centenary Pack, she started hearing all kinds of wild stories about him.

Warriors spoke his name with deep respect, while his enemies whispered it with pure fear. Every rumor painted him as this ruthless Alpha who showed zero mercy to anyone who dared stand against him.

Even with all that, the Voren she’d fallen in love with all over again had almost never shown her that darker side. With her, he was always so patient, so incredibly gentle and affectionate.

He spoiled her rotten, protected her fiercely, and treated her like she was the most precious, irreplaceable treasure in his entire world. Sometimes it was honestly hard to believe those scary stories were even about the same man.

Voren met her curious gaze head-on, and this time there wasn’t even a trace of humor in his expression.

His face hardened with serious intensity, and his voice dropped into something calm, cold, and utterly chilling.

"I capture every single enemy of yours," he said, his eyes darkening with that deep, unshakable resolve. "Then I erase them completely, wipe them out in a way where no one will ever find a single trace of what happened."

There was zero hesitation in his words. No emotion, no doubt, just pure, rock-solid certainty that sent a little shiver down her spine.

Seraphine studied his face for a long moment, letting his words sink in. This wasn’t some dramatic threat meant to impress her or sound tough.

It was simply how he operated when it came to anyone who dared endanger the people he loved.
