Chapter 471 – A co-Luna is just an uplifted name for a mistress

Athaliah let out a soft laugh, but there wasn’t a single hint of real amusement in her eyes. The humiliation Ravyn had just thrown at her in front of everyone wasn’t something she could simply brush off.

She lifted her chin with fierce pride, refusing to let anyone think for even a second that she had been defeated. "No, Beta Damon," she said, her voice carrying across the gym with calm, unshakable confidence. "Keep the money. I have no use for it... unlike someone standing right in front of me."

The meaning behind her words hit everyone instantly. She wasn’t talking about Damon. She was talking about Ravyn. The Alpha’s expression darkened immediately. His jaw tightened and his eyes narrowed dangerously. "What exactly do you mean by that?"

Athaliah met his gaze without the slightest hesitation. She didn’t look intimidated at all. If anything, she looked faintly amused. "I only came here for two reasons." She raised two fingers, then lowered one.

"The first one already failed." She lowered the second. "The other one already succeeded." She turned toward Seraphine with a warm, genuine smile. "I came to build a partnership with Sera, and I got exactly what I came for."

Then her expression hardened as she looked back at Ravyn. "As for this pack... it stinks anyway."

A loud gasp swept through the room. Several warriors stiffened instantly, and even some visiting Alphas widened their eyes in shock. Nobody, except Seraphine had ever dared speak to Ravyn like that inside his own territory.

Ravyn’s face flushed with hot anger. Without thinking, he raised his hand, the slap only inches away from Athaliah’s face.

Then, a firm grip wrapped tightly around his wrist. The entire gym fell deathly silent. Corvine stood between them, his hand locking Ravyn’s wrist in place and stopping the slap before it could land.

His expression stayed calm, but his eyes were pure ice. "You won’t do that, Alpha Ravyn."

For several long seconds neither man moved. The tension between them grew so thick it felt almost unbearable.
