“Stop her, Xavier. She is leaving,” Zander kept prompting Xavier, but Kiara was gone. He had not stopped her.

With their soon-to-be Luna’s abrupt departure, the hall, which had been resonating with excitement and gaiety, fell dead silent. What had happened? The young woman had just walked out of the pack house without looking back, but she had left a slew of big

mouths to propagate rumors.

As they stared at Xavier standing there without Kiara, the Sirius Bright Pack’s sadness deepened. Why hadn’t he stopped the Luna? He appeared to have lost something without her. His gaze had not left the door for a moment, giving the impression that she had not departed alone, but had taken their Alpha’s heart and soul with her.
