Despite the fact that the midday sun had neared its zenith, the intensity of its light was progressively reducing as the winter season was about to knock on their door in a few days time.

“Then why do you keep treats in your drawer for Meow?” Zander grinned, having succeeded in irritating his brother.

“I just happened to have these treats on hand from when I went to the store to buy cat food. I forgot to hand them over to Kiara, which is why they ended up in my drawer!
