When she stormed out of Eddy's room, the smirk on Kevin's face angered her more. The anger seeped into her voice as she said, "Kevin, you promised me! Where is Eddy?"

"Well Anne, you didn't keep our promise. So I can't let you see Eddy for the time being," Kevin replied coldly, while studying his outstretched feet.

Anne was trembling with anger. She said loudly, "I didn't keep my promise? I made it clear to Ian as you told me to. What else do you want me to do?"

Kevin looked up into Anne's face and saw the worry etched on her face for Ian. His heart hurt as if someone pierced it with a lance.
