Be My Mate

Sabrina's POV

The thought of running in to Xander right now was making me sweat. What would I do? What would I say? How would I react to him being with the girl I chose for him?

"Good day. I've been instructed to ask you all to follow me." Saved by a big tall lycan.

We all follow him, as everyone looks around, I avoid it. The faster we get out of this room, the better. I just don't trust myself right now...

Baby girl might just act a fool creating a cringeworthy memory that will forever haunt me. Nobody wants that.

We walk out of the big hall with so many people, the chatter and laughter dying down as the double doors close behind us. We follow big tall lycan for a few more minutes, my head still wrapped up in Xander's scent that I failed to remember how far we have been walking but Arianna's face came in to view, my feet already aching from all that walking.

"Oh thank the goddess!" Uttered Arianna. We all exchanged looks before  stopping right in front of the future queen.

"We have received multiple threats. People might look happy and all in that room but there are people unhappy with the new king. Firstly, they say he is not of alpha blood and secondly, they believe he is too young to take the crown. Your brother is in there devising a plan with your father but I had to bring you all for that extra set of eyes and strength." Arianna says and the worry creeps in again.

I was right to worry about Cj.

"Let's get planning then." Hunter says before opening the door and walking in. We all follow him in, with Arianna as the last to walk in and close the door.

"Hey everyone. My mate have you all worried?" Cj says trying to look calm but I saw right through him. Fear of not knowing who was coming for you was something one can't really hide.

"No. We were already worried." Mother says as she pulls Cj in for a hug.

"Now, there is no way we can know who will try to attack my son and we can't all surround him the entire time." My father, Christopher senior says.

"No. We won't be able to tell but we will be close by. If anyone throws a weapon, Josey is fast enough to catch it or move Cj out of the way, also seeing who the culprit was. Sabrina will get a feel for the room once Cj makes his entrance, it will take time but auras don't lie. We have myself and my son Anthony to act as the muscle if needed." Hunter suggests.

The room remains quiet for some time while everyone thinks.

"Arianna, can we not do the thing you did when you hid Sabrina away from that big bad witch? Like disguise Anthony as Cj and Cj as Anthony. It will take a whole lot to kill Anthony. Just for the crowning, where we won't be able to surround Cj. Once he is crowned, they can each go back to themselves." Josey suggests and everyone nods in approval.

"That's genius but the councilmen will need to cut CJ's hand and take his blood. It won't work." Arianna says.

The room falls silent again.

"Then we go out there and get my brother crowned. Look, we don't know who will try to kill you Cj but we are here. We can't surround you but we will be close and if anyone tries anything, we will kill them. They are messing with the wrong family and they will soon learn of us." I say squeezing CJ's shoulder.

"Twin is right. We have the moon goddess, the hybrid, the first son and the werewolf king. If that does not scream power, I don't know what will." Anthony says with his chest raised.

We all nod just in time for the door to open and for Percy to remind CJ that it was time.

"The family can all walk together but CJ will be the last to walk in." Percy says before leaving us.

"Okay. When we all walk in, release your powers for intimidation and assurance of who we are. Cj, I will amplify your power when you walk in to be of a bigger intimidation. It will take a lot for an alpha to cowar away but this is a start." I say and everyone nods in agreement.

We all walk out of the room, followed by four guards. Stopping at the double doors, a guard asks us to stand in line as we will all be called in one by one.

"Introducing the Trent family. We will start with the head, the man that raised and trained our future king, Christopher Trent." They announce and the doors open, guards moving out of the way to let father in.

We watch as he ascends to the the big stage.

"Next we have the matriarch of the family. The queen mother, Kimberely." They announce. Mother walking in with her head held high as she releases her power. We hear loud gasps as people are taken by surprise by her strength.

Oh this gets better.

"Next we have Hunter, of the first family." The announcer says in confusion making us giggle. Dude had no idea what that meant.
