Chapter 433

Rachel stood in front of the drinking machine. “Have you checked the surveillance cameras near the cemetery?”

“I did,” Lucas said. “I could not find anything.”

The culprit dared pry open the tombstone and take Aunt Sophia’s ashes away. That could only mean that he had planned for this.

If not for the staff patrolling the cemetery at night, the culprit would have done the deed without anyone noticing.

Rachel had some calculated guesses who the culprit might be.

Her intuition told her this had something to do with that person she met at the cemetery that day.

It was just her suspicion.

But once there were suspicions, it was as good as passing a verdict.

Rachel was so engrossed in her thoughts that she did not notice the boiling water overflowing from the kettle.

The water splashed onto Rachel’s legs. She immediately came to her senses and instinctively stepped back from the kettle.

Lucas hurried forward and turned off the power. He looked at the red mark on her leg and frowned. “You need to run cold water over it now. Hurry.”
