Edward's job suddenly became busier than before. In the past, he always did his best to finish his work for the day and he would be free to accompany Felicity and the children at night.

However, Felicity did not know that Edward rushed home and accompanied her and the children for dinner as soon as possible, he had even spent his lunch break on handling work. Before, he had had an hour of rest, but now, he was only able to get up and work as fast as ten minutes while sitting on the sofa in his office.

Only, he had not mentioned a single word to Felicity while he was silently doing all this behind her back. He did not want her to worry about him, nor did he want to lose even an inch of time he spent with his children.

He had missed their loveliest childhood, so he wanted to spare more time to mend the children, to make them feel more fatherly.

However, everything that happened in the company this time was already urgent, so Edward had to take care of it with all his time. Therefore, this was still the first time he called Felicity and told her to come home a little later so that he could inform the children and the two elders not to wait for him to eat dinner.

When Felicity received his call, she was surprised. She was really not accustomed to him suddenly being busy with his work.

Perhaps in the past, Felicity was accustomed to him returning home at night, accustomed to him accompanying them to eat and then spending warm time together with the children before going to bed. Felicity had thought that such days would continue to be passed on, but she never thought that he would suddenly become so busy.

She took care of him on the phone and hung up.

When she went downstairs and saw the two elders and the children sitting on the sofa, she softly said, "He said that he would work overtime tonight. He might not return to eat. Let's eat first!"

The old lady frowned. "Did he tell you something happened at the company? Why is he working overnight?"

Old Man Hughes, who was wearing reading glasses, suddenly raised his head and looked towards Felicity, as if he was waiting for her to speak.

Felicity said softly: "I asked him, but he did not tell me in detail, he only said that the company still had urgent matters to settle."

The old lady turned around and looked at the old man, "Call Edward tomorrow and have a chat. If his work matters, you have a lot of experience. Give him some advice so that he won't have to take the wrong path."

The old man nodded, "Alright, I'll call him tomorrow and ask. Actually, he's already learnt that I need to teach him. I don't have anything to teach him."

Hearing this, the old lady laughed proudly, "Of course. Our Edward has been smart since he was young, and has an amazing memory. His management skills have long since surpassed yours, you can't be unconvinced."

When the old tutor heard this, he couldn't help laughing, "Yes, I know that in your eyes, no one can compare to your grandson."

Felicity heard the two elders agreeing to Edward's capabilities, and a small sense of satisfaction rose in her heart. She thought that if she were to marry such an outstanding man, that would truly be something enviable for her.

Actually, when Felicity was at the company, she heard many people praising Edward's management skills. He was young, experienced in handling affairs, and had strong skills.

Furthermore, he was a dark horse in the business war, and his future was immeasurable.

Felicity suddenly felt that her understanding of Edward was too superficial. All she knew was that he was handsome. And he treated his children well. He was a qualified father, and he was filial. He set a good example for his children, but other than that, Felicity did not know anything else about

him.

She didn't even know how he worked at the company all day. She only knew the tip of the iceberg about what was going on in the company and what was going on in the environment. Other than the One Thought Building Design company that she worked for, she had only heard of one other subsidiary company.

Felicity was extremely ashamed. She was not a qualified lover at all, all she did was to busy herself with her work every day. However, she knew too little about the husband she had married.

When the two little fellows beside heard that Edward was not coming back, their cute little faces also revealed expressions of disappointment.

When they returned from school, they were looking forward to the evening when they would be able to sit together at the table and eat dinner.

At the same time, in the headquarters of Hughes Group, in the CEO's office, Edward took out a cup of coffee and refreshed himself.

He turned the big black chair to the glass and looked out through the bright glass into the distance.

All the buildings around his building were very low, as if they were being stepped on by him. The feeling of standing at the peak made Edward's thinking more acute and wiser.
