After Charles hung up the phone ruthlessly, I looked out of the car blankly, not knowing where to go.My mother's nagging words felt like a spell that was giving me a headache, so I had no choice but to head outside for some quiet time.I called Charles and David, asking them to meet me for a drink, but they both chose their lovers over their poor friend and refused me.
