I watched Scarlett leave, unable to believe her words.If she hadn’t told Charles, then how could he know about it?If it had not been for that, then he would not have been so cold to me, so I blamed Scarlett. 

While I was thinking of what to do next, my phone rang.

“Mom, what’s the matter?” I asked in an unpleasant voice as soon as I answered the call.
