When Karin arrives at the appointed place to meet Robert, he looks grim, which makes Karin feel bad.

“What happened to Billie?” Karin asks.

Robert shakes his head. “I want to tell you something about you and Troy.”

“What’s the matter?”

He frowns as it’s hard to tell her.

She’s entirely shocked to death, not knowing what to say.
