In her whole lifetime, Alyssa Moore never sleepwalked. Thanks to her parents who would buy her an incredibly small bed, moving round meant breaking a hand or leg.

So sleepwalking was not in her dictionary at all. Then why she was here?

She definitely wouldn’t crawl beside him. Furthermore, the bed wouldn’t allow both of them to fit together. So there was only one reason.

Face blushing, she turned to look at him, “You carried me, didn’t you?”

“How do you think I could carry you?” Emmett snorted and turned to look at her with a cold voice, “If memory serves to right, you should remember that I’m currently injured.”

That was right… He was injured. Then could it be that… She really crawled to his side?

Alyssa had never been in bed with a man. He was too close to her. If it was any other man, his cheeks would already have been printed by her palm. But Emmett had such a strong and cool aura that Alyssa calmed down her anger.

She pursed her lips nervously and lifted the quilt to get out of bed. However, the man beside her grabbed her by the wrist.

The man looked at her with doubt, “Why are your hands so white, which your face is like wax?”

“I…” Alyssa’s bright eyes widened in surprise, and she immediately pulled her hand back in surprise. She said in a low voice, “I was born like this.”

Not allowing for any more questions, Alyssa jumped out of bed just like a rabbit and went to the bathroom.

In the bathroom.

Alyssa stood in front of the mirror and looked at the woman in front of her with self-mockery flashing in her eyes. Her yellow face, those dark spots and the dull look in her eyes could scare any man even in his sleep.

She took the cleansing water from the cupboard under the sink and began to cleanse her face. Her movements were simple and quickly as if she had done it many times.

A few minutes later, a beautiful woman with rosy cheeks, bright eyes and white teeth appeared in the mirror.

Nobody would’ve recognize her if she walked out looking like this. Because who would expect that such a beautiful girl would hide under so much concealer?

If it wasn’t for renting a house outside after graduation and cleansing her make-up every day, she would have forgotten her real appearance.

A mother should have been very happy if her daughter was beautiful.

A mother should have been very happy if her daughter was beautiful.

But Aurora was different from others.

When Alyssa was kid, Aurora always complained that she stole Skylar’s limelight. So, her good mother never bought a single piece of clothing for her.

But even though she couldn’t conceal Alyssa’s beauty, which pissed her even more.

At that time, she loved her mother very much and tried her best to make Aurora happy. She had thought of she looked ugly, if she stayed without limelight as her mother wished her to be, Aurora would finally love her as her step-siblings. Maybe, she would be accepted.

She fell from the top one to the last one of her grades. She went from a campus belle to an ugly girl who didn’t have friends. No matter how much others hated her, she stood still at her decision just hoping to get a little of her mother’s love…

But everything was in vain. No matter what she did, Aurora didn’t care about her.

Even though Alyssa didn’t want to believe the fact that Aurora didn’t love her at all.

Looking at the pitiful woman in front of her, she sighed. She again disguised herself and left the bathroom.

Emmett leaned over the bed and looked at his cell phone. The expressionless appearance made him more attractive.

She thought of something and said. “I’m going out. You’d better call someone to pick you up and go home.”

Emmett didn’t respond.

Alyssa didn’t care. She just took her bag and went out. Anyway she had already done what she needed to do and didn’t want to bother with this man anymore.

Aurora forced her to go home to be married, so she finished her last job in a hurry.

But the funny part was that she married to the man she never met and who didn’t want to meet her!

But the only think she could be thankful that Emmett didn’t bother with her.

Right now she had to find a new job to support herself.

The morning passed quickly and the noon came.

She was waiting for the bus at the station. It wasn’t a rush hour so there weren’t many people waiting.

Suddenly a black car stopped in front her.

The window rolled down, there was a young man with a gentle smile, “Alyssa, where are you going?”
