Alyssa was still shaking her head in disbelief. If only she had seen through Skylar's mask a little earlier, she would've found a way to prevent all of this from happening.

Just as she stepped out of the restaurant Alyssa received a call from Hazel.

"Come over quickly! The red car across the road.” Hazel said quickly and then hung up the phone.

Alyssa looked up and saw the red car across the road. As she looked at the direction of the car, it horned twice.

Knowing that her friend was in a rush, she immediately walked to the other side of the road and into the vehicle. Alyssa turned to the woman beside her. "I didn't expect to see you here."

"You don't expect a lot of things.” Hazel stepped on the accelerator. “How was it? Was it successful?”

Hazel had a short movie that was low-key but popular. She could be recognized by anyone. That’s why she waited for her outside.

Alyssa smiled and said. “Very well.”

Skylar had oppressed her for too many years and disregarded her, but she hadn't lifted a finger to fight back. It's only natural for everyone to underestimate how smart she was. So it was to no surprise that Skylar had managed to let down her guard.

Nobody would've expected it was a trap that was set up by their ugly and dull family member whom they always looked down upon.

On the way back, she couldn't help but think about that time in the restaurant. Although Alyssa still appeared weak and spineless, there was something about her that seemed different. It should have something to do with her. Otherwise, why would the reporter be in such a dingy restaurant in the first place?
