However, “Justin” was almost 1.9 meters tall. Even if Alyssa wanted to, she wasn't able to block his face even if she stood on her tiptoes. She didn't know why but every time Skylar gazed up at him, she felt uneasy.

Skylar glanced at Alyssa with contempt, but it quickly faded as a small smile threaded across her lips. Stepping forward, she stared up at him. "Mr. Lawrence," she said softly, her voice dripping with faux innocence and sweetness. "It seems that we meet again."

Emmett glanced at her before looking at Alyssa, who had suddenly blocked his path. Seeing as she wouldn't even gaze up at him, he could understand why she'd do such a thing.

He remembered once she said, "Your Sister-in-Law is like your mother” when she contradicted him. And seeing her protect him like this...His eyebrows furrowed over, observing her stiff back and hardened features. Did she really view him as her son and nothing more?

As soon as the thought had occurred to him, his expression became even colder. He didn't even bother to give Skylar a second look.

Skylar was a little embarrassed when she saw “Justin” ignoring her.

This time, Jason interrupted their conversation, "Since we're all here, we should find a restaurant to settle down."

"Brilliant idea," Aurora complimented. She clapped her hands together and turned around, pretending not to notice the tension that had completely overwhelmed her. In the end, they found a restaurant to eat in. The restaurant they've chosen didn't have a lot of people, and it was quite private, perfect for a VIP guest.

As soon as they reached the table, everyone stood by, waiting for “Justin” to sit first.

However, no matter how long they waited, he didn't sit down. Instead, he pulled out a chair and glanced in Alyssa's direction. "Sit down," he ordered firmly, unbothered by the others' surprised gazes.

At first, Alyssa didn't want to follow him. But upon feeling that he would try something else, she obediently followed. There was no harm in sitting down right?

The moment she sat down, he sat right beside her.

Jason gave Skylar a look. Understanding what he meant, Skylar immediately seated on the other side of “Justin”, looking at him with a sweet smile. She placed her hands over her thighs, looking all prim and proper.

Alyssa had originally assumed that “Justin” would say something, anything to push her away. But he simply gazed the other way as if he didn't see anyone else.

'For someone so high and mighty, he seemed to have fallen victim to Skylar.' Alyssa thought in her mind.

The dishes were served very quickly. Jason said a few words from time to time to ease the atmosphere, and when a few minutes had already passed, everyone had small smiles on their faces. The tension had almost completely died down.

Skylar also picked out a few dishes for “Justin” time to time. Although he didn't eat them, he also didn't refuse.

Alyssa thought that normally, “Justin” was the type of man who was straight to the point. Yet from the moment he had seated himself, he didn't offer any comments or suggestions. Had he really taken a liking to Skylar? But that's impossible, right?

Overjoyed by his reaction, Skylar smiled and said gently. "Mr. Lawrence, eat more. The dishes aren't bad."

"Okay," “Justin” replied plainly, but still hadn't touched his chopsticks.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Skylar didn’t mind his attitude and smile. She really was striking while the iron was hot.

This question was private. But “Justin” did not show the slightest bit of anger on his face. Instead, he turned to look at her and said, "No...What about you?"

"I don't have a boyfriend either. To be honest, I actually..." Skylar tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and put on a shy look. "I actually really admired you for quite some time now."

“Really?" This time, Emmett curled his lips, but the smile didn't reach his eyes. A dark and ruthless aura wafted around him as he leaned in just a bit closer. "But I like women with larger faces. Your face is a tad too small."

"I..." Skylar was so surprised that her eyes looked like they were about to fall out.

Even Alyssa, who had just drunk the water, was tempted to spit out her drink.

What the hell was he talking about?

She gazed at the man beside her, yet all she could see was the seriousness of his face. He didn't seem to be joking.

"I can eat more if you want. I'll make my face even bigger." Skylar was so excited that her voice was practically trembling. She shot Alyssa a rather smug look before gazing back at him.

She'd definitely gain Justin's favor.

Alyssa turned her head, not wanting to look at her.

"Is that so?" Emmett looked at her through his eyelashes, and slightly looked down to cover the coldness in his eyes. He said casually. "There's actually a quick method for you to get a larger face. You should try it?"

Skylar believed it and hurriedly asked "Really? What?"

"Do what she did." Emmett looked at Alyssa's direction.

Skylar looked at Alyssa, not really getting the implication of his words. Jason, on the other hand, understood it completely and said. "I never know you were such a jokester, Mr. Lawrence. Come on, let's all eat otherwise the food will be cold.”

However, Emmett didn't touch his chopsticks, and the expression on his face had turned frighteningly dark. He didn’t take Jason seriously at all.

At this moment, he looked like the king of the underworld.

He was handsome and fierce. And he was sitting there with a cold face. Others would be afraid even if he didn’t lose his temper.

His aura was so mighty that no one dared to speak again for a time.

Emmett was unmoved. He looked at Skylar coldly. "I don’t hit a woman, so I suggest you do it yourself."

"Mr. Lawrence, your joke isn't funny."

"You think I'm joking?" Emmett mocked. His expression was somewhat intimidating.

"The Lawrence family had paid three hundred million worth of betrothal gifts for my cousin’s wife, and you think you can play around with her as you please? You think the Lawrence family is something to be screwed around with?"

Only then did they understand why “Justin” wanted to eat with them.
