CEO's Substitute Bride

Emmett ignored Xavier's madness. He seemed to have sensed something and turned around to look in Alyssa's direction. He caught Alyssa who was about to run away.

Alyssa braced herself and turned to leave, but she was stopped by him.

"Alyssa."

Alyssa turned to look at him and pulled out a stiff smile. "You guys continue. I am just passing by."

After she finished speaking, she walked past them and went to the kitchen to pour a cup of water.

When she came out, Emmett and Xavier did not speak again.

On the other hand, when Xavier saw her, he smiled and tried to please her. "Alyssa, did Hazel call you?"

"Yes." Alyssa carried a cup of water to the empty sofa opposite them and sat down.

Xavier's eyes lit up when he heard her.

"She told me that you are a scumbag." Alyssa smiled when she spoke. She did not look aggressive.

Xavier was upset.

Emmett must be so secretive. He had hung the companies of Golden Fountain and Nine Clouds under Xavier's name. And Xavier didn't dare to say anything.

"I drank too much that day, so I stayed in Golden Fountain. I didn't spend the night with those two girls."

"Go and explain yourself to Hazel." Alyssa looked coldly at Xavier.

Xavier’s face paled. "But she doesn't answer my phone."

"You can go find her. You should know where she is. If you can't even explain such a small misunderstanding, it's better not to pester her." Alyssa did not want to say more. She took a sip of water from her cup and was about to leave.

"Stop talking nonsense. Go find that little star of yours." Emmett got up and went upstairs.

Xavier was a little speechless. "Are you not going to let me eat?"

Emmett turned to look at him expressionlessly. "Get lost."

The bowl of salty and bitter noodles that he had eaten this morning was thanks to Justin.

Ever since Alyssa found out that he was Emmett himself, she had never treated him well, let alone cooking.

He did not even have to eat, and Xavier still wanted to freeload?

When Emmett returned to the bedroom, he saw Alyssa hugging the computer and nesting on the sofa.
