After Alyssa finished speaking, she turned on the light and reached for her phone to leave.

Emmett said he was tired, so how could she not be?

Since that was the case, it was best for each of them to calm down.

But Emmett would not let her go just like that.

He was tall and his legs were long. He got off the bed and walked in front of her in two or three steps, blocking her way. "Don't make a scene in the middle of the night."

"It's you now." Alyssa raised her head to look at him. Her expression was exactly the same as his.

Emmett pinched the space between his eyebrows. His eyes were full of fatigue. "Because of what happened in the morning?"

Alyssa did not speak. What happened in the morning was just a fuse.

Recently, the two of them were too busy. Even if they lived under the same roof, they could only meet him when they woke up in the middle of the night.

Alyssa thought Emmett would arrive on time for dinner in Golden Fountain Club yesterday, but he was still late.

But he also explained that he encountered a traffic jam caused by a small car accident on the road. Alyssa was not someone who made trouble for no reason, so she naturally did not bother with him.

But she and Dylan became the trending search this morning. She was already depressed in her heart, and she could not take Emmett's reproachful tone.

In terms of feelings, most women only cared about the man's attitude.

"It's too late today. I don't want to talk about this anymore." Alyssa really did not want to talk about this to him in the middle of the night.

After all, they still had to work tomorrow. Emmett had been so busy recently that his feet were not touching the ground. She hoped that the small conflict between the two could be resolved later.

However, during this period of relaxation, it was undoubtedly the best choice for the two of them to sleep separately.

Otherwise, she was really worried that the two of them would quarrel.

Emmett said expressionlessly, "Alright."

Then he picked her up horizontally and carried her back to the bed. He held her in his arms domineeringly. "Go to sleep."

Alyssa realized that it was impossible to reason with a man like Emmett.

The next morning, Alyssa was woken up by Emmett.

She opened her eyes and saw Emmett's dark eyes.

"You're awake?"

She reached out to hold his hand which was randomly travelling around her body. "What are you doing?"

Her voice was a little hoarse in the morning, sounding a little childish.

Emmett's brows moved slightly. He leaned over and kissed her. He kissed her from her red cheeks to her ears. He panted and said, "I've been too busy recently…"

Alyssa could not remember what happened after that.

She only remembered that he lowered his body and took advantage of her confusion to coerce her, "Do you still want to sleep in separate rooms?"

Alyssa did not have time to think at all. She bit her lips and shook her head, "No."

"Good girl." Emmett praised her.

In her daze, Alyssa remembered that she and Emmett seemed to be still arguing.

Why did it become like this again?

In the end, she could not figure it out because she was so tired that she fell asleep.

Emmett carried her to take a bath. Halfway through, she woke up and said in a daze, "I have to go to work."

Emmett applied the shower gel on her. His voice carried a rare gentleness. "I'm taking leave of absence for you."

"Oh." Alyssa replied and closed her eyes in a daze.

Emmett carried her back to the bed and covered her with the blanket. Emmett sat by the bed and stared at her.

He had not slept well all this time. Later on, he could sleep peacefully only with Alyssa in his arms.

At night, as long as his arms were empty, he would wake up and pull her into his arms.

Last night, he slept until midnight. Then he felt Alyssa break free from his embrace and fall asleep on the other side. He woke up and pulled her back into his arms.

However, Alyssa's first reaction was to push him.

She was not like this in the past.

This made Emmett a little panicked.

He had been too busy recently. The two of them could only meet in bed every day. The day before yesterday, he finally had some free time to have a meal together, but he encountered a small car accident on the road.

When he arrived at Golden Fountain Club, when he saw Alyssa's disappointed eyes, his heart was unusually irritated.

However, when he entered the Lawrence Group, he had too many things to deal with. He needed to take control of the power in his hands, so it would be more convenient for him to investigate his mother's matter in the future.

The next day, he saw Alyssa and Dylan getting on the trending search again. He felt even more annoyed and spoke somewhat impatiently.

Alyssa's thoughts were very meticulous. Even if she was angry, she did not make a loud noise. Instead, she was terrifyingly calm.

If she made a big fuss, it would be easier for him to coax her.

But she was very calm and very rational. She even considered that she had to work the next day and wanted to sleep in separate rooms.

Sleep in separate rooms?

That was impossible.
