Alyssa did not know that Aurora went to look for her that time.

Emmett did not mention this matter.

Because Alyssa picked up the phone, her footsteps slowed down. She originally walked side by side with Emmett, but after that, she was already two steps behind Emmett.

When Alyssa heard Aurora's words, she could not help but raise her head to look at Emmett.

Emmett felt that she did not follow and just happened to turn back to look at her.

Seeing her holding the phone and staring at him, he raised his eyebrows. "Come here quickly."

"Alyssa?" Aurora's voice sounded on the phone, "Why aren't you talking?"

"If there's nothing else, then hang up." Alyssa said coldly and hung up the phone. She walked to Emmett's side.

Emmett felt that she was in a bad mood. He frowned but did not ask any more questions. He just led her into the restaurant.

Alyssa sat down in front of the table and did not look at Emmett. She did not react when Emmett put food on her plate.

It looked like she was completely immersed in her own emotions.

Emmett thought of the phone call she had just answered. He guessed that it was most likely related to that phone call.

Alyssa did not return to her room after breakfast.

She stood up and said to Emmett, "I'm going to walk around the yard."

Without waiting for Emmett's response, she walked outside.

Justin ran over and sat beside Emmett. "Where is Alyssa going? Aren't you going with her? You two have been inseparable these few days. I can't even find a chance to play with Alyssa for a while."

Emmett did not say anything. No one knew what he was thinking.

Justin felt bored. He was about to get up and leave when he heard Emmett call out to him, "Help me watch over her. Don't let anything happen to her."

Alyssa was not familiar with the old residence after all. He was still afraid that something would happen.

Justin said subconsciously, "Why don't you go with her yourself? Did you guys fight?"

In the end, his words caused Emmett to look at him coldly. Justin stuck out his tongue and got up to run out.

Emmett watched Justin disappear outside the door. He pursed his lips and looked away.

Alyssa looked at him with a complicated expression when she answered the phone. There was a little emotion in her eyes that he could not understand.

He would better not provoke her first. When she calmed down, she would naturally be willing to talk to him.

When Justin went into the yard, he found Alyssa in a pavilion.

The old residence was a vintage building, so the courtyard was also built with ponds and pavilions.

Alyssa leaned against the cool pillar and looked at the water in a daze.

"Alyssa, what are you looking at?"

Justin ran over and coincidentally a cold wind blew over. He shook a little. "It's so cold."

"Why are you following me?" Alyssa turned her head to look at him.

Justin put on the hat of the down jacket and sat down next to Alyssa. "Cousin asked me to come over."

Alyssa smiled but did not say anything.

"Did you guys fight?" Justin felt that Alyssa was not happy.

Alyssa shook her head. "No."

Emmett did not tell her that Aurora had come to find her. The starting point was for her own good. This was not a big deal.

She would not quarrel with Emmett over this matter.

Even if she knew that Aurora came to find her, she might not have taken Aurora in. She would probably have sent someone to send Aurora back to Moore family.

If Aurora did not want to return to Moore family, she would probably let live in the hotel.

Emmett's actions were not too much.

After all, he was not even close to the Lawrence family, let alone Aurora.

However, Alyssa's heart was still somewhat stifled.

No matter what, Aurora was Alyssa’s mother. Emmett chased Aurora away, so he should also tell her.

Emmett looked cold, but he was a cautious and considerate person.

His actions made Alyssa suddenly realize that the two of them were not on the same level.

Emmett would make the decision for her and not tell her about this matter. It was probably because in his heart, she was a person who could not handle these matters on her own.

Thinking about it carefully, she indeed had nothing.

She did not have a good career, nor did she have any outstanding merits, nor was she smart.

So Emmett took the initiative to drive Aurora away for her. He even felt that there was no need to tell her.

She and Emmett had always been too far apart from each other. Except for Emmett's personality that was slightly different from ordinary people, he was impeccable in other aspects.

She knew that his starting point was probably for her own good.

But many times, she could not only see things in a positive aspect and only thought that he was for her good.

It was very difficult for two people who were not in the same position to go far.

Recently, she had been relying too much on Emmett.

She did not want to be a Dodder Flower that always depend on a man and ask him to arrange everything for her.
