Emmett's kiss went down the corner of her lips. When he reached her neck, Alyssa reached out and stopped him. "Dinner."

"I can eat something else first." Emmett's voice was hoarse and dark. As he spoke, he lowered his head and kissed her hand.

He kissed her hand again and again. He was patient and affectionate, as if he would not stop until she moved her hands away.

Alyssa's face was hot, but she did not allow Emmett to be presumptuous.

She reached out and pushed Emmett's head away. "You either eat dinner or go your home and eat yourself."

Emmett's throat moved with difficulty. He buried his head in her shoulder and seriously discussed with her. "What if I eat just a little?"

Alyssa did not know whether to laugh or cry. How come he discussed such a thing with her like this?

The final result was, of course, Alyssa did not agree.

The two of them tidied up briefly and then sat in front of the dining table to eat.

This house was a single apartment with one bedroom and one living room. The dining room was connected to the living room.

The dining table was very small.

Alyssa did not specially prepare dishes for Emmett. She just followed her usual eating habits and made two simple home-cooked dishes.

Her appetite was not very good, so she did not eat much. Instead, Emmett ate a lot.

Emmett ate so much and so quickly, but it was not the kind of rude wolfing down food. Instead, he looked pleasing to the eye.

Things like temperament could only be understood and not talked about.

Even if she knew that this man in front of her was a temperamental and irritable man, however, the temperament on his body could not be concealed.

After Alyssa finished eating, she lazily leaned back in her chair and watched him eat.

It had been a long time since the two of them sat quietly together and ate together.

When she took a closer look, she found that Emmett's complexion was not very good. He was a little off-color and thinner than the last time she saw him.

Alyssa looked at him and subconsciously asked, "Do you eat on time every day?"

Once the words left her mouth, Alyssa pursed her lips awkwardly, "I just..."

Emmett raised his eyes to look at her, his pair of pitch-black eyes shining brightly with undisguised joy.

Alyssa was unable to finish her sentence.

Was her caring about him gave him so much joy?

"I ate on time, but the food outside isn't as good as what you cooked." Emmett was not good at flowery words, but when he said those words in all seriousness, it sounded like sweet words.

Alyssa lowered her eyes. "You can leave after you finish eating."

Emmett was silent for a moment and then said, "I will wash the dishes before leaving."

"There is no need…" Before Alyssa could finish, Emmett had already stood up. He put away the plates on the table and carried them into the kitchen.

Alyssa also stood up. When she was about to stop him, she heard knocks on the door.

Who was it so late at night?

Alyssa looked through and found it was Hazel.

She opened the door and asked in surprise, "Hazel, why are you here? It’s so late."

Hazel looked tired and it was obvious that she had just finished her work and came to look for her.

She kicked a box on the ground and said, "The crew brought Lychee from her hometown and gave me two boxes. I came back and passed by you, so I brought you a box."

As Hazel spoke, she went into Alyssa's room.

Alyssa followed behind and squatted down to carry the box of lychee into the room. "It's already so late and you still want to make a trip? I could’ve gone and get it myself."

"It doesn’t matter. You don't have a car, so I brought it to you on the way back." Hazel walked to the edge of the sofa and sat down next to it.

At this time, Emmett's voice came from the kitchen, "Alyssa, there are no more detergents."

The kitchen was near the door. The two of them had just walked in and passed by the kitchen, but because Hazel was busy talking to Alyssa, she did not know that there were still people in the kitchen.

There was a moment of silence in the air.

Hazel turned her head to look at Alyssa. The words "You are hiding a man" were written in her eyes.

Alyssa did not know whether to laugh or cry. Just as she was about to speak, she saw Emmett walk out of the kitchen out of the corner of her eye.

Just now he told Alyssa that the detergent was gone and waited for Alyssa to answer for a long time but he didn’t get it. So he walked out himself.

When he walked out, he saw Hazel.

Hazel also saw Emmett and the pink floral apron he was wearing.

Hazel was also there when Alyssa bought this floral apron. Alyssa just came back a few days ago and did not pay much attention to anything, so Hazel pulled her along to buy things.

A tall and straight man was wearing a white shirt, black pants, and a pink floral apron. He rolled up his sleeves and walked out of the kitchen.
