Sampson asked her, "Have a seat. What would you like to drink?"

"Nothing. Let's get right to the topic." Alyssa realized she sounded too anxious after she finished speaking. She added, "Angela is still at home taking an afternoon nap. I have to go back early."

"Okay." Sampson nodded to show that he understood.

He sat on the sofa opposite Alyssa with a serious expression. "Why did you suddenly ask about the hypnosis? Did something happen?"

Alyssa hesitated for a moment.

Sampson saw her hesitation. He gently hooked his lips and said, "Alright, just ask what you want to ask."

"Hypnosis can seal people's memories?"

"Hypnosis itself is also a way for patients with mental disorders to receive psychological guidance. It will hypnotize the patient according to the patient's needs, which is also a kind of psychological hint."

Suddenly, Sampson paused for a second.

Seeing that Alyssa was listening seriously, he continued, "But I am not very clear about the specific psychological hint of hypnosis, but human psychology is very complicated and difficult to control, so I do not rule out the possibility of this kind of thing that you said locking people's memories."

Sampson's words confirmed the power of hypnosis.

Alyssa asked with serious expression, "If people's memories are sealed, can people regain their memories? Or can the sealing of memories cause people's memories to deviate and become confused?"

Sampson suddenly laughed and fixed his eyes on her face. He looked at her and said, "Everything is possible, just like how you miraculously woke up after being unconscious for three years."

Alyssa said, "You mean it has the possibility of recovering its own memory?"

"Well, look at it in this way." Sampson thought for a moment and said, "Hypnosis is not as good as other people say. After all, it is just a psychological suggestion. If the hypnotized person overthrows his own psychological suggestion, then the hypnosis might start to lose effect."

"Just like what you said about sealing his memory. This kind of hypnotized person repeatedly accepts the psychological hint from the hypnotist doctor and tells him that he should forget those things. But if someone around him keeps mentioning those things that he has forgotten, or if there are people and things that can touch him, it is only a matter of time before he regains his memory."

"Other than recovering his memories, is there anything else?" She understood what Sampson said, but Emmett was not recovering his memory now, but in another situation.

"There may be mistakes and confusion in their memories." Sampson said. He leaned back slightly and changed into a more comfortable position. "It is just like when you wake up but lose your memory. There are uncertainties in everything. But if the memory of the hypnotized person is confused and wrong, it may be because the hypnosis is too deep. Going too far is as bad as not going far enough. If the person is in a hurry to recover his memory, so it was too fast and caused the memory to become chaotic."

What Sampson said is very consistent with Emmett's situation.

Thinking of this, she frowned and asked. "Then what should he do if his memory is in disorder?”

"I'm not a hypnotist doctor. I can't answer your question. Perhaps, you should find the doctor who hypnotized him, and then you can find a solution.”

Sampson’s words were clearly appeared to be directed at someone.

Alyssa then realized that she was in a hurry to ask about the hypnosis, so Sampson guessed something.

Noticing Sampson gazing at her, she did not know what to say.

Sampson asked her calmly, "Is it Emmett?"

Sampson had explained so much to her seriously, so she naturally had no reason to hide it from him. "Yes."

After saying that, she seemed to have suddenly thought of something. She said to Sampson, "You must keep this a secret. You cannot tell anyone else."

"Do you still not believe me?" Sampson turned his head and pretended to be disappointed.

Alyssa felt relieved and said half-seriously, "Of course I trust you the most since you have saved me from death. By the way, do you know any hypnotist experts? It would be best if they were the kind of doctor who could hypnotize people until they lost their memories."

"Is it really Emmett?" Sampson looked a little surprised. "Your and Emmett’s lives are really exciting."

Alyssa said helplessly, "Are you being sarcastic?"

"Of course not." Sampson put on a serious expression and continued. "I will keep an eye out for the hypnotist. Although hypnosis and psychology are on the same side, they are not in the same field. Besides, your question is so sudden that I cannot make it clear.”

“Sorry to trouble you." Alyssa felt a little guilty in her heart.

She seemed to be troubling others all the time.

Sampson smiled. "It was a piece of cake for me."

Alyssa did not say anything else. She just smiled back.

No matter how many words of thanks were, it was not as useful as actual returns.

Alyssa left Sampson's clinic and took a taxi back to Hazel's place.

Not long after she got into the car, she received a phone call from Hazel.

Hazel asked her, "Have you finished? Angela woke up and said she wanted to eat that cake. She will tell you herself.”

Alyssa heard and could not help but laugh, "I am on my way back. Give the phone to Angela."
