As she spoke, Nash suddenly remembered a serious injury he had suffered before, one that almost cost him his life. It was Miranda who saved him. In response, Nash said, "That won't happen again." Miranda still felt worried, her teary eyes fixed on him. "You promised me before that you wouldn't let yourself get hurt again because you don't want to see me sad. Don't punish me with your body!" He had once teetered on the brink of death.
