The conditions alone made her heart flutter with joy. She didn't want to endure the hardships of war any longer. Back then, she had been quite a beauty, and it was her looks and talent that had allowed her to marry a man from Birkham.

"Really?" Nina was unsure but felt a bit shy from the compliment.
