Nina's words were like a sharp dagger, piercing Nash's heart within seconds, leaving it bloodied and full of holes. He knew, however, that Nina was suffering more than he was.

"Nina, please, don't get so worked up. There are things I'll explain to you, but you need to wait a bit longer." Nash took a deep breath, trying to calm her down.

But Nina did not want to hear it. "Nash, I've already waited five years. How much longer do you expect me to wait?"

Before Nash could respond, Nina yelled again, "Are you expecting me to spend my entire life waiting for you? Where is my child?"

"Beep, beep beep..."

The phone suddenly emitted a series of busy signals. Nash had hung up.
