Ben wanted nothing more than to wring Jamie's neck after hearing her cold, cutting words.

"I don't need your lectures," he growled.

Human nature? Didn't she think he knew enough about it already? He had seen it in every case he handled, and he had learned it the hardest way through her betrayal.
