Karina almost wanted to storm over to Kieran's room and confront him right then and there, but Wilfred stopped her.

"Going now won't get you what you want. Kieran is still in the ICU, unconscious. Showing up there will only cause trouble." Karina finally began to calm down.

She knew every move she made was being watched. Though the gossip in the hospital had died down, countless eyes were still on her.

Until Kieran woke up and her name was cleared, she couldn't risk going near him. If anything happened, the blame would undoubtedly fall back on her.

Karina sat back down, covering her face with her hands as she slumped for a moment. "Thank you, Dr. Wilfred. I wasn't thinking things through."

After a brief pause, she looked at him and added, "I'm lucky to have you here."

Wilfred's gaze flickered slightly, and after a long moment, he said, "You're my chosen assistant, of course I'll help you. Don't worry, a simple urine test will be enough to confirm the cause." But even something as simple as that wasn't going to be easy.

When they mentioned conducting a urine test on Kieran, Mrs. Stone vehemently objected. "You're not doing any of that nonsense to my son! Karina, if you have any conscience left, tell this man to leave!" Karina frowned. "We're just here to conduct a test, nothing else. Why are you so determined to stop us?"

"He's in this state because of you! Who would believe anything you say?"
