Steve waved his hands, giggling.

"Daddy." With a soft thud, he threw himself into Theodore's arms, laughing with pure delight.

Theodore was deeply moved. He raised his hand and gently patted Steve's back. "Steve, I told you before. I'm Uncle Theodore. Call me Uncle." "Daddy. Daddy."

Theodore felt a pang in his heart, and tears began to stream down his face uncontrollably.

"Why don't you listen? I..."

He wanted to say he wasn't his father, but hearing Steve call him "Daddy" stirred a selfish longing within him to play that role, even if just for a moment.

"Steve." Rosalie walked over, holding medicine and water. "Why are you lying on top of him?"

Theodore immediately closed his eyes upon hearing her voice, pretending to still be unconscious.
