In desperate times, some people would turn and run, hoping to grasp even the faintest glimmer of hope.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang in the sky. Then, the horizon lit up, followed by fireworks exploding.

Everyone looked up, seeing brilliant fireworks bursting in the sky.

Christopher saw the timer on the device reach zero, yet the bomb didn't explode-only dazzling fireworks filled the air.

Yerick, with bruises and blood oozing from the corner of his mouth, smirked. "Surprised?"

Sebastian was drenched in a cold sweat, his entire body tense. At that moment, it felt like all his strength had been drained, and he exhaled deeply. He collapsed to the ground, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead. He had thought he was going to die here.

Christopher immediately stepped forward and grabbed Yerick by the collar. "What's going on here?"

"I used a fireworks show to scare you. It's more interesting than real bombs. You scaredy-cats. Just look at how terrified you all are," Yerick mocked sarcastically.

"You..." Christopher punched him hard. "You're mad!"

"So now you get it. Don't mess with a madman."
