Elias didn’t deliberately ignore Amanda’s call earlier in the day. He had been dealing with Rosie, who was a nuisance, and wanted to sort that out before talking to Amanda. Now, Amanda wasn’t picking up his calls, and he was at a loss about how to make amends when he returned home later. The thought of it was giving him a headache.
