At this moment, Symeon was engrossed in his work when his phone abruptly rang. He assumed it was an update regarding the surveillance repair.

The message read. I am Casey. I am trapped in the Carter Family’s basement. Please rescue me!”

Symeon’s face paled instantly upon reading the message. He attempted to call back the unknown number, but it was switched off, and there was no response.

Could this message truly be from Casey?

If he went to search for her and failed to find her, the Carter Family might report him to the police.

After some contemplation, Symeon decided to call Amanda. The call was promptly answered, and Amanda’s voice echoed from the other end. “What’s the status? Has the surveillance footage been recovered?”
