Life as a married woman wasn't a bed of roses for Alice. Previously, she thought she was suffering as a single lady. But being married to Jonathan was worse. Now, her husband was showing his true colors. She finally saw that he was a devil in human skin. As Jacob looked at her, he noticed that she was the exact opposite of her former self. Indeed, she was living miserably.
