The sound of Matthew hitting the ground echoed in the house. He had fallen fainted on the ground of the first floor with his body covered by blood when Ada realized what just happened.

Ada turned pale. She quickly looked around and ran back to the bedroom before the servants came. She pretended that she didn’t know what happened and walked to the bed,
