“Ms. Graham,” Natalie called out while knocking on Jacqueline’s door.

The latter was reading a book in her bed. She looked up the moment she heard her voice. “Oh, it’s Ms. Smith. Come on in.”

Natalie walked in with a smile at that.

“Have a seat,” Jacqueline told her while pointing at the chair beside her bed.

The former pulled up the chair and replied, “Thanks.”

After closing the book and putting it by her bedside, Jacqueline asked, “Why are you here, Ms. Smith?”

Natalie’s eyes flickered before she replied, “I’m here to visit Stanley but he wasn’t in his consultation room. I thought he would be here so I came to take a look.”

“Stanley just went back to his consultation room. Didn’t you see him on your way here?” Jacqueline narrowed her eyes slightly as she spoke.

Natalie answered as she tousled her hair, “Really? I must’ve missed him somehow. I’ll send him a message now.”

With that said, she took out her phone and pretended to type something on it.

A minute later, she turned off her phone and put it back into her bag. “Do you mind if I wait for Stanley here? He’s going to come to meet me in a while.”

“Sure.” Jacqueline nodded.
