Charlotte was surprised to find that Ben was much more cheerful than before,
and now he was better at expressing his thoughts.
She glanced at Joe. Perhaps all these changes were related to Joe.

They had seen bidding wars before but had never witnessed such a dramatic
increase of one hundred million at once. It was simply astonishing!
“Three hundred and fifty million,” a blonde gentleman raised his paddle. He
exchanged a confident look with Joe, both seeing determination in each other’s
eyes.
“Four hundred million,” Joe raised his paddle once again without hesitation as if
he were bidding four dollars instead of four hundred million.
The old man hesitated.
After some contemplation, he pushed the price to four hundred thirty million,
which was already his budget’s limit. If he continued to bid, he would have to
give up.
Joe didn’t waste any time and promptly raised the price to five hundred million.
No matter how much the old man wanted that island, he could only give up.
He put away his auction card dejectedly.
The auctioneer surveyed the room and loudly asked, “Is there anyone else who
wants to bid higher?”
There was silence in the room.
Everyone could tell that Joe was determined to win the island, so letting him
have it without further contest made more sense.
After three inquiries, the auctioneer finally sealed the deal, and Joe successfully
acquired the island.
When the auctioneer asked whose name the island should be registered under,
Joe glanced at Charlotte. Charlotte waved her hands repeatedly, saying, “I
already have an island in my name. I don’t need another one.”
“Then let’s put it in Anna’s name.”
Seeing that Charlotte genuinely didn’t want it, Joe didn’t hesitate to suggest
Anna.
Ben nodded in agreement from the side. “Yes! I can buy one for myself in the
future!”
After the paperwork was completed, there was suddenly a commotion from the
