Hearing Harper's voice, Sue looked up and shifted her gaze toward her in utter bewilderment. Then, with hatred and malice flashing in her eyes, she viciously cursed, "Why wasn't it you instead? Why not you? Why not you?"

Sue's voice was obviously full of hostility and resentment as she repeated her question over and over again. Harper, on the other hand, seemed as though she was completely taken aback.
