Secretary Allen jumped out of the car and hurried to the back seat, calling Timothy's name several times, but there was no response.

Panic rising, he rushed back into the driver's seat and sped off toward the hospital.

When the paramedics arrived, Secretary Allen quickly grabbed Timothy's phone and followed them inside.

As Timothy was wheeled into the emergency room, Secretary Allen pressed the button on his phone, illuminating the screen.

The display froze on a photo of Timothy's wife. The image was mostly white, and in the glow, Secretary Allen could clearly see smears of blood and fingerprints streaked across the glass.

Was it seeing his wife's photo that made President Lawson cough up blood?

But it was just a picture-why would he react like that?

In the photo, Mrs. Lawson stood beside four snowmen, her smile as radiant and delicate as a frost flower.
