This stunned Marcus for a moment.

He had heard about Rayna being a mere senior interpreter. The fields of translation and finance could not be more different. One could not be good at finance just by dabbling in it. Such skills, like any other, had to be honed over time.

However, he could not sense any apprehension from this woman. If anything, she shone.

The failed negotiations with Marcus did not make Rayna angry. When she went to the private lounge to seek out Marcus, she could already tell from his general demeanor and tone of voice that negotiations were off the table.
