JENNIFER'S POV

There at the frame of the door, stood a visibly worried lady, eyeing me with concern most probably because of my dishevelled state. The lady certainly in here late 40s, looked at me with worry oozing out of her soft, gentle features. I stared at her, with no emotion on my face. I let my body go loose and as a result I fell on the bed on my hips, with a soft thud.

I didn't realize when she came up to me and started shaking me by my shoulders, gently trying to pull me back from my reverie.

"Madam, are you alright? You look pretty shaken up..." she said while shaking me, now a little more briskly with her hands. That made me move out of my trance. I blinked rapidly, adjusting my brain to the facts, assumptions and the rumors surrounding me.

"Mam, you look too tired. The Marraige shall take place within the next 2 hours. Please eat something and take rest till then. We shall look after the makeup and anything else which can help you relax." She said as she held me by my elbow and helped me lean back on the headrest of the bed.

Although I was feeling extremely exhausted and emotionally drained, still her words did the thing of pissing me off. I was not a freaking doll especially present there for them to show their beauty strokes and make me look no less than a barbie!

kind of you if you leave me and my messed up makeup alone. And as for the matter of relaxing is concerned, please give your boss a few drops of cyanide in his protein shake or such stuff and yeah! I shall be relaxed like never before!" I snapped. She flinched on my rude outburst but didn't speak
