Tyler was going to say that Xanxus might have already killed Serena, who went to assassinate him, but hadn't cared to inform him.

After all, in the eyes of a monster like Xanxus, killing a small-time assassin like Serena was no different from crushing an ant!

However, Tyler could tell that Kingsley was about to lose control and murder someone at this point.

How could he possibly be stupid enough to say those words to make the last thread of Kingsley's self-control snap?

Feeling utterly afraid, Tyler could only shakingly shrink into the chair without uttering another word.

"Lancer, inform the Diosna Military District to send someone to investigate Xanxus Norton immediately!"

Kingsley's eyes were fixated on Tyler, but his words were directed at Lancer. "Check if anyone has attempted his assassination recently! 10 minutes! I want an answer within 10!"

"Right! I'm on it!" Lancer answered before he stepped out of the interrogation room.

Tyler, however, was so startled that he was about to wet his pants. He did not think that Kingsley could even command the military in Diosna City! Just how much authority does he hold?

"S-Sir..." Tyler's voice trembled like he was a sheep bleating. "You must be someone important in the military... H-How was I so blind to not see that? G-Geez, little ol' me and my d*mn eyes..."

"Do you regret it now?" Kingsley peered at the man emotionlessly.

"I regret it so much I could die!" Tyler wailed as he blabbered, "I wouldn't have set Serena up no matter how brave I am if I had known you were such an amazing person. This is equivalent to suicide..."

"What's the rush? There's no need to cry now," Kingsley said lightly. "Let's just wait for the news from Diosna Military District. I will stop bothering you if Serena is fine.

"But, if she even loses as much as a strand of hair, I will kill you. It is not too late for you to cry then."

Tyler was trembling so much he started to cramp all over. "She will be fine. She will be fine.... Miss Langley is blessed. She will be just fine..."

He could see the overwhelming murderous intent in Kingsley's eyes.

Tyler knew that Kingsley would mercilessly tear his skin and rip his bones out if something were to happen to Serena.

That was definitely not an empty threat!

Just as Tyler was shaking and waiting for his conviction, Lancer began to walk back to the room in brisk steps.

"Boss, there is news from the Diosna Military District that there was an assasination attempt on Xanxus Norton just the day before yesterday when he invited several big bosses for a card game in the Sunshine Casino!"

Kingsley abruptly stood up from the chair when he heard that. "And?!" he urged.

"Xanxus Norton only suffered a skin injury on his arm, and the assassin escaped unscathed."
