I Am Unstoppable
Chapter 261
Briana walked out of the building of Victory Enterprise in a fury with two bodyguards dressed in black following closely behind her.
Very soon, Briana arrived at her super luxurious car.
It was a Maserati worth eight million.
Its sleek-looking lines and resplendent paint made the car look luxurious!
Fellow drivers would be trembling in fear when a car like that passed them on the road. They would try their best to stay away to avoid accidentally scratching it because it would cost them an arm and a leg to pay for the damages.
All of a sudden, Briana stopped in front of her car and turned around. “The two of you aren't allowed to follow me today.”
With that, she got into the car.
The two bodyguards were stunned for her order put them in a difficult position. If they followed her, she would be displeased. If they did not, they would be worried about her safety.
Just then, Jonathan walked over with a grin. “It's fine. There's no need for both of you to follow Ms. Briana. From today onwards, I'll be solely responsible for her safety.”
“Crazy man!” When Briana saw Jonathan, she became even more irritated. She started the engine, and the car sped away.
“Phew! I finally got rid of that lunatic,” Briana mumbled to herself as she heaved a sigh of relief.
She then gradually slowed the car down.
“Briana, we're about to become a family very soon.” Just then, she heard Jonathan's voice. “You have always been complaining about your future husband!”
Briana was shocked to see that Jonathan was seated in the front passenger seat. She had no idea when he sneaked in.
The tires screeched, and the car came to a sudden halt.
At that moment, she was on the road, so the taxi behind her crashed into her Maserati when she braked suddenly.
That made Briana even angrier. She got out of the car and rushed up to the taxi driver. “What's wrong with you? If you don't know how to drive, then you shouldn't be on the road.”
Surprisingly, the taxi driver was a plain-looking woman in her thirties. The instant she realized that she had crashed into a Maserati, tears rolled down her cheeks.
The female taxi driver got out of her vehicle and immediately apologized to Briana, “I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. It was an accident. I didn't think that you would slam on the brakes so suddenly.”
“Do you think an apology is going to solve the problem?” Briana said furiously. “You have to bear the full responsibility for this accident. The tail lights have been smashed, and so is the paintwork.” She then paused for a while before continuing, “Forget it. I'm going to call the traffic police.”
“No!” The woman was so terrified that her face had turned pale. She quickly got down on her knees and begged Briana, “I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. It wasn't done on purpose. I don't have this much money to pay you!”
Usually, Briana was not an unforgiving person but she was in a very bad mood that day. As such, the female taxi driver became her punching bag.
The taxi driver was Miranda Hudson. She was a divorcee and single mother.
It had not been long since she started driving a taxi, and she did not expect such an accident to happen.
On the first day of being a taxi driver, some of the old-timers told Miranda to watch out for luxurious cars on the road, and that she should keep a safe distance from those expensive cars.
Even if she could not recognize the logo of the car, she could still tell that it was a luxurious car judging from its sleek outlook.
Miranda was on the verge of breaking down.
At that moment, she had no more dignity left. As long as she was not required to give any monetary compensation, she would be willing to do anything even if she was asked to strip naked.
Just then, she heard a gentle, male voice. “Go on. You don't have to pay for the damages.”
Miranda looked up to see a decent-looking young man with gentle eyes.
He was none other than Jonathan.
Miranda glanced at Jonathan before turning to look at Briana in doubt.
Briana was infuriated, and she yelled at Jonathan, “It's my car. What has it got to do with you? Are you trying to play the nice guy? Fine. Since you don't want her to pay, then you compensate me.” A frosty look appeared in Jonathan's eyes for a very brief moment before he calmed himself down.
However, that split second of iciness made Briana shiver.
With a nonchalant smile, Jonathan said, “You're my future wife. Your car is mine too. Why do I need to compensate you?”
“You!” Briana was incensed.
Jonathan told Miranda, “Get lost.”
Relieved, Miranda turned around and was about to get into her taxi.
“Stop right there!” Briana shouted.
Jonathan reached out to grab Briana.
Miranda quickly got into her taxi and drove off.
It was not Briana's intention to hold a grudge against Miranda, she pushed Jonathan's hand away and cautioned him, “Let me warn you, you crazy man. Don't follow me anymore.” After that, she hurriedly got into her car.
The first thing she did after she got in was locked the doors.
However, after the doors were locked, she found Jonathan sitting comfortably in the front passenger seat. “Get out of my car!” Briana screamed.
Jonathan smiled before saying, “Briana, if you get angry too often, you will age very fast. But, it's okay since your family is filthy rich. Even if you become ugly, I will still accept you.”
There was nothing Briana could do to a scoundrel like Jonathan, so she threatened, “Are you really not getting out of my car? Fine! I'll call the police!”
Jonathan was not at all fazed by her threat. “Go ahead. Your dad approves of me as his future son-in-law. I'll have to keep an eye on you so that you won't go looking for that fellow. I don't want you to cheat on me!”
All of a sudden, an idea popped up in Briana's mind, and she smiled coldly at Jonathan, “Fine. So, you want to stay in the car, right? You'd better not regret it later.”
Thereafter, she started the engine.
Throughout the drive, Briana did not speak to Jonathan, so he pretended to fall asleep.
Before the car accident, he would not mind teasing her to have some fun. However, after the way Briana treated Miranda, he lost his interest.
Half an hour later, the Maserati stopped in front of Angelite Spa.
Angelite Spa specialized in beauty and wellness treatments.
Briana walked straight in with Jonathan following closely behind her at a comfortable pace.
There was an elegant reception area the moment they entered Angelite Spa. At the reception counter, there was a cashier.
The moment Briana walked in, the cashier greeted her politely, “Ms. Yarbrough.”
“Where's Sean?” asked Briana.
The cashier replied, “Mr. Watson is attending to a customer right now. But, he did say to inform him when you arrive.”
“All right. I'll wait for him here,” said Briana before she sat down on the couch.
The cashier cast a glance at Jonathan and asked, “Is he a friend of yours, Ms. Yarbrough?”
Before Briana could reply, Jonathan responded with a happy expression, “I'm her fiancé.”
The cashier was taken aback because she knew that Briana and Sean were a couple.
Where did this fiancé come from?
When Briana saw the change in the cashier's expression, she quickly cut in, “Fanny, don't listen to this lunatic. He's a nutjob. I don't even know him.”
Fanny became less warm. “Mister, I'll have to ask you to leave.”
Jonathan smiled at the cashier and said, “If my wife is still here, then I'll be here.”
Fanny uttered coldly, “What a bloody psycho.” She then spoke into her walkie-talkie and yelled, “Kairo, someone is causing trouble at the reception area. Please come here as soon as possible.”
That did not seem to bother Jonathan.
