I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 357

Mabel changed into a rose-red shirt, sleek black trousers, and bedazzled heels.

She had an aura of nobility in that outfit, looking aloof and elegant.

She didn't have to put on any lipstick since her lips were naturally red, and her enticing lips made others want to take a bite at them.

“Lastly, I need a hat!” Mabel looked at her reflection in the mirror while saying that to Jonathan, who was watching television.

Hearing that, Jonathan immediately stood up and replied, “Let's go get you a hat,” to which Mabel agreed enthusiastically.

Both of them head out of the hotel after that.

It was midday at the moment, which was the sunniest time of the day.

The sun hanging in the sky was like a humungous furnace. It was as if a bright spotlight shone on the Earth, and every corner of the Earth was lit up by its light.

Plenty of cars were on the streets, and many people were also walking by the road.

The women around had umbrellas and wore shawls to block the rays of the sun.

“I'm hungry. Let's go get some food first,” Mabel said.

“No problem,” Jonathan replied.

They both found a restaurant, and it seemed that business was booming. Most of the customers were Thymionian.

The fragrance of curry wafted through the air around them.

The restaurant was not air-conditioned, so the smell of sweat was also present.

Nevertheless, Jonathan and Mabel were starving and wanted to try the local cuisine, so they were not picky about the conditions.

With that, Jonathan ordered chicken curry, and Mabel ordered beef curry.

They had some cold drinks after the meal.

Jonathan felt instantly refreshed upon drinking his glass of Thymionian beer.

As for Mabel, she ordered a glass of coke.

Next, both of them went shopping for sun hats, in which Jonathan bought one for himself as well.

All of a sudden, Mabel suggested, “Let's take a picture together!” She then took out her phone and pulled Jonathan over.

They both looked at the camera and soon a few clicks could be heard.

Mabel even asked a passing tourist from Chanaea to help her with taking their pictures.

The duo honestly looked like they came to Thymion for a vacation since the atmosphere around them was harmonious.

It was rather rare for Jonathan and Mabel to have leisure time like this.

He was a lazy man with nothing to do and had no ambitions or goals back then.

Yet, he was different now as he had experienced the pain and hardships of growing as a person. Being involved in a death tribulation was not something he could extricate himself from. Jonathan finally knew the horror of the Heavenly Law after experiencing what he had experienced.

He also knew that luck wouldn't be by his side forever, so he needed to become stronger more quickly. Only then would he have a higher chance of surviving.

However, that day, he would like to enjoy the relaxing time he rarely had.

At two in the afternoon, Jonathan decided to look for Pedor.

Pedor once insulted Jonathan's mother, but Jonathan couldn't reveal his true strength back then as he was trying to catch Vananeru, so he could only endure the insult.

That day was finally a good time for revenge.

Jonathan, however, never expected that he would abruptly receive an anonymous phone call.

He picked up the call, and a familiar voice was heard from the other end of the line.

It was the voice of a beautiful lady.

“Mr. Lawson, Vananeru is in trouble. Please come to the school!” The lady sounded anxious.

Jonathan was shocked to hear that and immediately replied, “What kind of trouble? Who are you?”

“I'm Ginny! Pedor found out about what had happened to Vananeru's father, so he came to take his revenge on Vananeru!”

“All right. I'll be right there.”

Jonathan then remembered who Ginny was. She was the lady who acted as his guide when he first arrived at the school.

Pedor, instead of taking the easy way out, you chose to walk through hell instead!

“What's wrong?” Mabel asked, and Jonathan briefly explained the situation.

Mabel said, “I don't think you'd make it even if you rushed there now. It's best if you ask the girl who called you if they're still at the school. If they're not, then find out where they're going so that we can intercept them in the middle.”

Jonathan agreed with what Mabel had said and called Ginny again while rushing to save Vananeru with Mabel.

Ginny anxiously answered, “Vananeru's been brought out of the school. I think they're heading toward Pedor's house. He lives in Sherwood Condominium, which is on 108th County Street.”

“Okay. Got it,” Jonathan gave a brief reply.

He immediately told Mabel the location, but both of them were not familiar with Mapleton.

After a while, Jonathan decisively stated, “I'll go get a car!”

Mabel stopped him and said, “The traffic in Mapleton is as bad as Yaleview. We might as well run than drive. I can use the GPS on my phone. Follow me.” With that, she quickly opened her navigation application.

After saying that, she took off her heels and threw them to the side before running ahead.

As for Jonathan, he quickly followed after her without any questions asked.

Jonathan genuinely wished Vananeru would lead a happy and peaceful life in the future. She's not a bad kid, and b*stards like Pedor deserve to die. I can't allow a guy like that to mess with a good girl like Vananeru. F*ck! Even I couldn't bear tarnishing her!

This time, Vananeru knew ahead of time that Pedor had come for her, and she knew things wouldn't end well. Hence, she told Ginny to contact Jonathan, saying that only Jonathan could save her.

Even though Vananeru had experienced many tragedies and been through a lot, she never once thought of giving up on her life. She would never let trash like Pedor defile her.
