Beatrix was immensely interested in Fog City and the treasure vault, so she was thrilled when she heard that Jonathan was going to check it out. However, she was still somewhat worried. “Is this really okay?”

“Don't worry. I've told Prince Solorel about this, and he says it's fine,” Jonathan replied.

At that, Beatrix became at ease.

Thereafter, Jonathan left the palace with the two beautiful women. Right as they stepped out of the area, they encountered Aurora.

Aurora looked stately and valiant in her white tuxedo. She walked over to Jonathan and greeted him, “Your Majesty.”

He smiled. “No need for formalities.”

“Thank you, Your Majesty.” Then, she presented him with the spatial ring's brocade box. “Your Majesty, I've given a spatial ring to each vampire marquis. The remaining six rings are in here.”

Once Jonathan took the brocade box, he kept it in his spatial ring.

Abruptly, a smile grew on his face as he said, “Right, I just remembered something. I still have Lord Reichlin's millions of Epean currency in my spatial ring.” After a pause, he turned to Aurora. “Ms. Aurora, please get Lord Reichlin to send me his account details so that I can transfer the money to him.”

“Your Majesty, you have your own financial rights within our people. I'll handle this matter for you,” she immediately responded.

In other words, she was telling him that he did not need to use his own money.

Hearing that, Jonathan did not insist otherwise.

He then added, “I'll be taking a trip to the treasure vault and our revered ancestor's Fog City. Do come along.”

Aurora would never go against his words.

Jonathan had to admit that it felt good to have her thorough subordination.

The lock to the first door of the treasure vault needed biometric authentication, but the key Jonathan had could unlock it too. Hence, he used the key to open it. The keyhole was located in a covert spot, and he only managed to find it when Aurora told him where it was.

Once the door opened, she informed him, “Your Majesty, Prince Solorel is making preparations to change the password to your biometrics, but this process will take some time.”

He chuckled and reassured, “There's no hurry.”

Following that, the group entered the white, lavish tunnel.

Previously, the crowd had been blocked at the treasure vault's entrance, but this time, Titus had already been escorted away.

“Titus Langston has been captured by Prince Solorel and officially escorted to the prison,” Aurora reported in a timely manner.

Jonathan nodded but did not probe further. He instructed her to open the door with the key.

Once Aurora took the key from him, she located the keyhole and unlocked the door.

In no time, that mysterious door gradually slid open.

Finally, the inside of the treasure vault was revealed to everyone.

Jonathan and the others were exhilarated. As it was also Aurora's first time at the treasure vault, she was filled with curiosity too.

Jonathan was the first to enter, and the rest followed right behind him.

Countless dazzling treasures entered their line of sight.

It was as if they had entered a divine dragon's treasure trove.

Jonathan's group was nearly blinded by the scintillating treasures in the vault. This really is a treasure vault!

The vault was around three hundred square meters in size, and everything was arranged meticulously inside. There were pieces of jewelry, gold, Chanaean relics, and plenty of rare weapons.

Furthermore, there were simpler and smaller items at the side as well.

The number of valuables within the vault was absolutely incredible.

“That's the lost statue of Lucent Garden. I never thought I'd see it here.” Mabel gasped when she saw a strange statue in the vault. “And that one! That's a Chanaean relic, Ansketel Etton's Stone Tablets!”

She appeared to be stunned to her core.

Meanwhile, Beatrix's gaze was fixed on some old manuals. She exclaimed, “Oh, my God! Isn't that the original manual of one of House of Kung Fu's techniques? And that's Iron Palm's original manual! This, too! Is this a witchcraft manual?”

Jonathan and the rest were not too interested in martial arts manuals. Their physique had already been upgraded to the peak, and they were already one with all the martial arts techniques.

He walked over to it and unsheathed it directly.

“Is there a history to this sword? Why is it in the treasure vault?” he asked Aurora curiously.

“We'll discuss that later, then. It's nothing urgent.”

Mabel craned her neck to peek at the sword. “Is there anything special about this?”

“It doesn't seem unique on the outside, but I sense a hint of bloodthirst from it,” he commented.

“That's odd.” Mabel also looked over. A bizarre look crossed her eyes after she observed it for some time. She, too, sensed the sword's bloodthirst.

“I can discern a trace of sentience from the sword. It's really yearning for blood,” she said.

Beatrix glanced at it. “That means this sword is a spiritual weapon. It isn't shocking for it to have a mind of its own, then.” A pause later, she added, “There are four kinds of magical weapons—spiritual, mystic, celestial, and divine. Spiritual weapons are of the lowest grade. For example, my master's Demon Slayer is a mystic weapon.”

Jonathan's eyes lit up, and he asked Mabel, “Didn't you say you need a magical weapon? What about this one?”

Mabel's interest was piqued, and she instinctively turned to Aurora. “Can I have it?”

The latter promptly replied in reverence, “It's all up to His Majesty.”

Hearing that, Mabel let out the breath she had been holding. Gathering her focus, she then made a minute cut on her palm with her fingernail.

Next, her fresh, red blood dripped onto the sword's blade.

The second the drop of blood touched the blade, it disappeared.

Mabel dropped a total of twenty droplets of blood on it consecutively.

Subsequently, the sword started making a buzzing sound.

Like a shedding snake, the rust on the blade faded.

It was genuinely a miraculous sight.

Shortly after, a shiny blade emerged before the crowd.

Mabel beamed. “I can sense its mood and heartbeat! It's overjoyed, and its name is Shanow Sword!”

Beatrix paled a little. “It can convey its mood to you?”

“That's right!” Mabel affirmed.
