I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 496 The Terrifying Enemy

Yeverie wept in despair.

It seemed like an endless cycle of humiliation for Jonathan. No matter how hard he fought or how desperately he tried, he was always held back by an insurmountable force. It felt like he was constantly being pushed down, no matter what he did.

This wasn't just Jonathan's struggle; Edward, Tristan, Ignatius, and Lynn faced the same fate.

The Chosen One? Jonathan couldn't help but question himself, doubting the significance of being the Chosen One if this was his destiny.

Unfortunately, the Heavens were not moved by Jonathan's thoughts. It would not be swayed by anyone's joy, sorrow, or anger, and would remain firm and unyielding in its will. The Heavens were indeed merciless!

In a way, it was like when one saw a room infested with ants. One would only think about getting rid of them without considering the emotional needs or grievances of the ants. One wouldn't even notice if those ants were screaming about the injustice of their fate.

Thus, Mona showed no mercy toward Jonathan and Yeverie in the same way. She imprisoned Clarabelle in a ventilated storage ring, a prison where Torrence and Fekro were also held captive.

Mocking Yeverie, Mona sneered, “Do you really think he cares about you? It's just a matter of his pride as a man. He can tolerate your death but not you being humiliated by others because you're his woman and the symbol of his pride.”

Pausing for a moment, Mona turned to Jonathan and said, “You claim to be willing to obey and follow me? Well, apologies then, but I see no use for you at all. The only satisfaction I get from you is seeing you in pain!”

At that moment, Mona seemed to have transformed into Theos, appearing incredibly cold and ruthless. Despite her extraordinary abilities, she was still human and exhibited the same human selfishness and cruelty as anyone else.

Perhaps true saints only existed in legends and stories, or maybe saints were nothing more than figments of human imagination.

Jonathan glanced at Yeverie, and she met his gaze. There were no words to be spoken as Jonathan was bound by Dragon Chain, so any struggle would only increase his pain.

“Silvius, don't you desire this woman? She's right here. Why are you still holding back?” Mona continued.

Silvius was stunned.

At that moment, Jonathan felt as if he was struck by lightning.

These words came from Theos herself, a woman who held such a high position, yet she displayed such despicable and wicked behavior. It was truly revolting.

However, Silvius felt somewhat embarrassed. Although he was known as a playboy, he wasn't the type to stoop so low. He immediately rejected Mona's proposition, saying, “Your Holiness, I would rather take her back and enjoy her at home.”

Mona replied, “If you still want my help in repairing Creation Gem, then you'd better follow my instructions immediately.”

Silvius found himself in a dilemma. He glanced at Mona and gritted his teeth. Well, screw it! Even though this is pretty distasteful and I know I'm being a bit of a jerk here, let's face it, Her Holiness isn't any better either. Anyway, Jonathan is as good as dead. If he's dead, then nobody else will find out about this. Besides, I've got to admit that doing this right in front of Her Holiness is quite thrilling!

After Silvius considered his options, his eyes lit up with excitement. He embraced Yeverie and began to touch her.

“Stop!” Jonathan's eyes turned bloodshot at the sight. Fury erupted within him as he began struggling with all his might.

Dragon Chain contracted immediately, its spikes viciously twisting into Jonathan's flesh, causing him excruciating and inhuman pain.

It was akin to the feeling of a screw being twisted into one's flesh.

At that moment, Jonathan experienced that exact torture.

However, he didn't stop. If he couldn't protect his woman and if he had to witness her being humiliated by others, then he would rather die in agony.

Blood gushed from every pore of Jonathan's body as his flesh was ripped and torn apart mercilessly by the spikes. His furious and desperate howls echoed through the air, sending a chilling wave of terror through Silvius.

It was a sight that shook Silvius to his core, as he had never seen someone who could subject himself to such cruel torment.

Silvius felt a growing sense of unease as his movement paused on Yeverie's body. He had a feeling that if he continued, he would be courting trouble upon himself if this man survived.

Moreover, in such a harrowing environment where Jonathan continued to inflict torture upon himself, how could Silvius carry on? He wasn't a sadistic pervert after all.

Thus, Silvius abruptly stopped.

Jonathan's despair momentarily abated when he saw that, and he ceased his desperate struggles. However, the searing pain intensified at this point, causing him to involuntarily groan in agony.

Blood continued to drip incessantly, rapidly forming a pool of blood beneath him. He appeared completely drenched in blood. It was a gruesome sight straight out of a horror story.

Mona continued to watch with cold eyes.

She said to Silvius, “Why did you stop? Why not continue?”

Silvius took a deep breath and replied, “Your Holiness, I can't go on anymore.”

Mona questioned, “Why?”

Silvius glanced at Jonathan and said, “Although I may not be a virtuous person, I believe in mutual consent. Moreover, even as enemies, I believe Jonathan deserves respect. Let me be honest with you. I can't continue because I'm afraid. As long as Jonathan is alive, I know I'll be in great trouble. I have plenty of women, and I don't need to invite such a terrifying enemy into my life for the sake of one woman.”

After that, Silvius looked at Jonathan and said, “Jonathan, you saw it too. I didn't do anything to your woman. I hope that even if you manage to escape one day, you won't treat me as your enemy. Deal?”

Looking at Silvius, Jonathan endured the pain and nodded, saying, “Okay.”

Mona sneered sarcastically and said, “What a joke! Silvius, do you think he has a chance to escape?”

Silvius responded, “Although the possibility is small, my grandfather once said that nothing is absolute in this world. As long as Jonathan is alive, there is a chance he'll be able to escape. Everything in the world is subject to change.”

Mona said, “What did you tell me all of that for? Aren't you afraid that I won't fix Creation Gem for you?”

Silvius replied, “Your Holiness, I respect and fear you. But please remember, our deal was to capture Jonathan. Now that he's caught, you have no reason to go back on your word, right? Besides, Creation Gem got damaged while helping you accomplish the task!”

Mona retorted, “Enough. You can go now. Leave Creation Gem behind. After three days, I'll fix it and return it to you.”

Pleased by her words, Silvius took out the damaged Creation Gem.

The numerous cracks on Creation Gem pained Silvius just by looking at it.

Then, Mona stored Creation Gem in her storage ring.

Silvius said, “Well then, Your Holiness, I'll take my leave.”

“One more thing. Don't mention what happened today to anyone,” Mona reminded him.

Silvius nodded and said, “I understand the situation!”

His answer showed that he grasped the gravity of the situation and that she didn't have to worry about him leaking it out.
