I Am Unstoppable

Chapter 531 The Power Of Cosmic Convergence

Mabel had had her fair share of troubles and sorrow. I always thought that after having experienced such pain and disaster, it would feel like my life would go through a rebirth, and I would have a fresh start. However, I never expected to face such despair again. It's way more intense than any despair I've ever felt. It's inescapable, without a glimmer of hope in sight. The hardest part of life is when you can't do anything and can only wait for death.

Walrion and Beatrix were also feeling the same way as her. Trapped in such a desperate situation, naturally, they were not in good spirits.

“I wonder how are Jonathan and the others,” Mabel said to Beatrix. She paused briefly, then added, “I just hope he and Yeverie are safe and sound.”

“I'm sure nothing bad will happen to His Majesty,” Walrion responded with a trace of a bitter smile.

Beatrix also piped up, “He's the Chosen One. We fell in here together, but only we got captured while he was unharmed. That clearly shows that luck does play a role. Though invisible to us, luck is the most wonderful yet real thing to exist.”

“He has always been good at creating miracles...” Mabel could not stop her wishful thinking. However, she could not finish her sentence. That's because it's simply impossible!

The days went by slowly. It was a torment for the trio, and they barely made it through each day. Finally, the day of the full moon arrived.

It was the fifteenth day of the month, the day of the full moon!

Most of the people in the cave had already died. All of them had died because Stanley had drained their blood essence and bone marrow. An indescribable stench of dead bodies permeated the cave, building up and lingering for a long time until it eventually formed a miasma.

Prolonged inhalation of a miasma like that would cause various adverse reactions in those with weaker constitutions. However, thanks to their robust physical health, Mabel and the others were unaffected.

It was at that moment that Stanley used his mana to pull Mabel and her companions outside.

The moon shining brightly should have made for a picturesque and idyllic scene, yet negative energy lurked within the depths of the cliff, filling the place with a chilling sense of terror.

The cliff was enveloped in a dense, white mist so thick that it was becoming difficult to see each other.

Just then, Stanley appeared in the sky as a vague shape of a middle-aged man.

He wore a crown on his head, was clad head-to-toe in black, and radiated a grim aura.

Suddenly, he stretched out a hand!

It shot out from among the white mist, lifting Walrion up.

While in mid-air, Walrion quickly grabbed Stanley's hand.

“Walrion!” Both Mabel and Beatrix turned pale.

Walrion, on the other hand, was remarkably calm. He had known what was coming and was already mentally prepared for it.

However, he could not help feeling that everything seemed quite peculiar. Upon observing Stanley up close, he realized the latter had no physical body but was more like an elusive gaseous form.

He has me in his grasp, yet it doesn't feel like a hand is grabbing ahold of me. It's as though the surrounding air pressure is squeezing me. I can't move, and there's an uncomfortable sensation in my chest. This strange realm is truly full of bizarre things!

Stanley looked at Walrion up and down, then suddenly smiled and said, “I've been searching for the perfect physical form across Moranta for many years, but none have been as perfect as yours. Not bad. Not bad at all. You truly are a gift bestowed upon me by the heavens. You're the one I've been waiting for all this time!”

Walrion appeared unusually calm as he gazed at Stanley. Suddenly, he asked, “Do you wish to inhabit my body?”

“That's correct!” Stanley paused momentarily before continuing, “There's still fifteen minutes to go before the full moon. I'm in a good mood right now, so I'll answer whatever questions you want to ask.”

“As far as I know, the physical body is a vessel that requires precision. Another person's soul or primordial spirit cannot occupy someone else's body just like that,” said Walrion. The body and soul are like blood types. If the blood types don't match, pairing them together could be fatal. The soul needs nourishment from the body's vitality. However, if the soul and the body are incompatible, the soul won't feel at ease, thus accelerating its withering.

Stanley replied, “You're right, and that's why I'm putting so much effort into this. I plan to use the purest power of the silver moon, along with a great deal of vitality and energy, to mold your physical body into an entity that matches my soul. During this process, you will suffer greatly. You'll watch as I drain your blood, drop by drop...”

Walrion's heart lurched violently, and he was rendered speechless. He was not afraid of death, but the thought of dying in such agony terrified him!

“What's the matter? Are you scared?” Stanley asked in a mocking tone.

“You're Stanley Doyle, the Divine Sovereign. The divine ruler of the generation. Don't you feel any shame for stooping to such despicable behavior?” came Walrion's reply.

Stanley cackled with laughter. “Shame stems from morality, but morality is nothing more than a weapon the wise use to bind the regular folk. If I were bound by the word 'morality' too, that would truly make me feel ashamed.”

Walrion fell silent, unable to utter a single word. To be more precise, it was pointless to say anything.

Meanwhile, Mabel and Beatrix watched helplessly from below. All they could do was grin and bear, which made them feel incredibly humiliated.

Just as Mabel, Beatrix, and Walrion were feeling utterly desperate, a streak of light suddenly flashed across the sky. Then, in the air right before Stanley, a void portal appeared out of nowhere!

All of a sudden, Mabel and Beatrix found themselves witnessing a miraculous scene. A young man emerged through the portal, clad in a flowing white robe and carrying himself with a calm and composed air. If that's not Jonathan, who else could he be?

Instantly, Mabel, Beatrix, and Walrion became overwhelmed with joy. They could barely contain their excitement!

They had never imagined Jonathan would come, yet in their moment of despair, there he was. Moreover, it seemed that he possessed skills beyond their comprehension.

The void portal vanished, leaving Jonathan standing in mid-air.

“Your Majesty!” Walrion called out, overcome with emotion.

“Thankfully, I'm not too late!” Jonathan said with a slight smile.

Walrion could not help but exclaim, “This is incredible!”

Stanley looked at Jonathan. He did not know Jonathan or anything about him.

The Stanley that appeared before the dark vessel of truth in Pollerton Tomb that day was merely a manifestation of Roland's fears. In reality, it was in no way connected with the actual Stanley.

Mabel and Beatrix could not help but embrace each other as they were too excited. However, neither dared to do anything that would distract Jonathan.

Jonathan and Stanley stared at each other. Then, the latter's expression shifted quickly and subtly. He asked, “You've been to Pollerton Tomb. Did you take my Astro Scepter?”

“The Astro Scepter is a magic item, not something you created. Now that it has a spirit and can choose its master, how can you claim it as your own?” Jonathan responded calmly.

Stanley's eyes glowed with a cold light as he said, “So, it appears you have a death wish.”

Jonathan's lips curved into a slight smile. “To be honest, Roland was just like you. He racked his brains for every scheme possible, all to resurrect himself. But I've driven him to his death. As for you, you're violating the Heavenly Law. It's not scary that you feel nothing for morality and its constraints. However, if you go against the Heavenly Law, the only thing that awaits you is death. Did you think that capturing my subordinates was a stroke of luck? Let me tell you this. You've sounded the call for your death. I advise you to go and find an isolated place to live out the rest of your pitiful existence. Otherwise, I'll reduce you to ashes!”

“Insolence!” Stanley roared in fury. After all, he was the great Divine Sovereign, and no one had ever dared to be so arrogant in his presence.

Without hesitation, he took action and pointed directly at Jonathan.
