Jonathan's body trembled. It was the Asura Emperor.

His hands are stained with more blood than mine, the Demon Emperor's, or the Asura Emperor's. He cannot guarantee that every person he killed deserved to die.”

Jonathan fell silent, then inquired further, “I dare to ask, among the Four Emperors, where does the Emperor of Chanaea stand in terms of cultivation?”

His boldness surprised even himself, but the Divine Emperor seemed easygoing that day, and he saw a chance to learn more about Tristan. Moreover, he admired the Emperor of Chanaea deeply.

Jonathan held Catherine's hand and said, “Catherine, I don't want you to go.”

Catherine looked at Jonathan, earnestly saying, “I want to go, and I will definitely come back.”

“What if I firmly insist on not letting you go?” Jonathan asked.

Catherine lowered her head in contemplation. After a while, she said, “I can listen to you on everything else, but not on this matter.”

“Why not on this matter specifically?” Jonathan inquired.

Catherine fell into silence before turning to the Divine Emperor and saying, “Master, please fulfill my wish.”

The Divine Emperor pondered for a moment and said, “It seems that everything is destined. I wanted to help you avoid this, but you still insist on breaking in.” He paused and continued, “Very well. I will grant your request.”

Jonathan became anxious and asked, “Divine Emperor, what do you mean by destiny? Does it mean that Catherine will definitely pass away inside?”

“Future events cannot be fully foreseen. I can only vaguely perceive some clues. But the future must not be revealed, as even I cannot bear the consequences it brings,” the Divine Emperor replied.

“Why are there so many tribulations?” Jonathan asked, feeling utterly perplexed.

While he comprehended the concepts of karma and tribulations, he couldn't fathom why the heavens would arrange for such numerous tribulations.

The Divine Emperor spoke, “I shouldn't answer this, but for Catherine's sake, I will.” He paused and continued, “Imagine a car with a weight capacity of ten tons. When it's overloaded and carries twenty tons, accidents are likely to happen. However, after modifying the car, it can handle the twenty-ton load without issues. But no matter how the car is modified, it still has its limits. Our cultivation is like an overloaded car moving forward, so we often encounter various problems, known as calamities. Jonathan immediately grasped the significance of the matter. If the Divine Emperor repeatedly emphasized it, it must be crucial.
