Chapter 34 Take It
“Ms. Garcia, we’ve arrived at your home.”
Amelia was pushed awake and struggled to open her eyelids. All she could see were dark shadows, making it difficult to see anything.
She knew that her illness had worsened due to being drenched in the rain, but thankfully her thoughts were still clear, and she remembered that she was in Paul’s car.
She quickly sat up straight, thanked Paul again, then pushed open the door and exited the car.
“Ms. Garcia…”
Paul stopped her, took an umbrella from the back seat, and handed it to her. “It’s still raining heavily. Take it.”

Amelia saw the logo on the umbrella and knew it was worth tens of thousands of dollars. She was afraid she wouldn’t have the chance to return it to him, so she softly declined, “Thank you, but it’s only a few steps away. I’ll run over there.”
Paul was stunned for a moment. He seemed to have read her mind and thrown the umbrella at her. “You don’t have to return
it.”
Amelia was in a dilemma, but when she saw that Paul wouldn’t
allow her to refuse, she had to accept it.

“Mr. Paul Evans, please give me your contact information. I’ll find time to give it back to you tomorrow.”
When Paul heard her asking for his contact information, he looked at her with disdain. “Ms. Garcia, I don’t like it when people show up uninvited.”

“I didn’t mean that. I just think that this umbrella…” “Ms. Garcia.” Paul interrupted her coldly, his eyes full of warning. “No matter what you mean, I sent you home out of kindness. If you have any other ideas, please stop immediately.” These words made Amelia very uncomfortable. She didn’t say
